Kukup Beach

Kukup Beach is a white sandy beach lies in Kemadang village, Tanjungsari district, about 1 km away in the east of Baron beach. It has a pathway trough the hill up to Baron beach and also a coral island, which is connected by a senggol bridge. Kukup Beach, grey black sand dunes, treacherous ocean currents and jagged rocks. This beach is located near Baron Beach, only 1 km east.

Kukup beach is rich in sea life and also famous of its various kinds of beautiful fish in sea aquarium or various kinds of beautiful fishes that sold by the merchants along the beach. There are hall (pendopo), cottage and other facilities in this area. Just like in Baron beach, this beach also performs a sea offering ceremony every Syuro. Kukup Beach, see from the Rock Hill Island with a gazebo, at the east part of the areas can access with climb a several set of natural staircase through the bridge along to the rock island.




Imogiri

Imogiri is the official cemetery of the royal descendents from Yogyakarta and Surakarta. This cemetery located on a beautiful hill about 12 km from Yogyakarta. The royal graveyard is reachable by 345 stone steps leading to it. Imogiri is about 17 km Southeast of Yogyakarta and easily accessible by the bus of car. The tombs are built within three main courtyards. This Graveyard is the tomb of Sultan Agung Hanyokrokusumo, the third king of the Islamic Mataram Kingdom. All the kings of the Mataram Kingdom, from Sultan Hamengku Buwono I until Hamengku Buwono IX and their families as the Surakarta Kingdoms as well were all buried at the Imogiri Royal Cemetery.

This cemetery was built in 1645. Everyday many people visit Imogiri and step up on 345 stairs to reach the top of the hill where the tomb of the kings rested. Entry into the smaller courtyards housing the tombs of the princes is allowed, but the tomb can only be visited only on Monday 09.00 - 12.00 and Friday 13.00 - 16.00. The visitors must wear the traditional Javanese dress, which however can be hired on the spot at a modest fee. The cemetery is closed during the Moslem month of Ramadhan.



Baron Beach

Baron beach lies in Kemandang Village, Tanjungsari district about 23 km in the South of Wonosari city. Baron beach is the first beach that would be found in the junction of Baron, Kukup, Sepanjang, Drini, Krakal and Sundak beaches area.

It is a bay with big wave. Baron beach is popular as fish catching area. There is a mouth of Underground River that can be used for bathing after playing in the beach. The visitors can also enjoy various kinds of low prices seafood or fresh fish and Baron's special menu namely Kakap fish soup.

There is limestone hill and we can reach the place by passing through a path. The way to go there is very interesting because it passes a place called Pegunungan Seribu (a thousand mountains).

Every syuro month (the first month of Javanese calendar), the fisherman societies organize Labuhan, sea offering ceremony, to express their gratitude to the God for the abundant fish harvest and for the welfare in fishing).

Pangandaran Beach



Pangandaran is a small town and a subdistrict in southern Ciamis regency, West Java, Indonesia. It is located on the southern coast of Java. Pangandaran is a popular tourist destination, having a beach which is considered to be one of finest Java and which offers excellent saving surfing. A small fishing town, it possesses one of Java’s finest beaches and Pangandaran Natural Reserve teems with wild buffalo, barking deer and monkeys. The people are very friendly, this combined with the idealized surroundings make this a great place to spend a few days relaxing island-style.
A kite-flying festival is held on the beach in July and August. It is reported that the locals used to fly kites in the evenings to catch bats, and may still do so. There is a local belief that wearing any green garment in this area will anger Loro Kidul, the Javanese guardian spirit or goddess of the southern sea, and will bring misfortune.


Dieng Plateu

Dieng Plateau, is a marshy plateau that forms the floor of a caldera complex on the Dieng active volcano complex, and is located near Wonosobo, Central Java, Indonesia.

It is the site for eight small Hindu temples from the 7th and 8th centuries, the oldest Hindu temples in Central Java, and the first known standing stone structures in Java. They are originally thought to have numbered 400 but only 8 remain. The Dieng structures were small and relatively plain, but stone architecture developed substantially in only a matter of decades resulting in masterpieces such as the Prambanan complex and Borobudur. The name "Dieng" comes from Di Hyang which means "Abode of the Gods" Its misty location almost 2000 m above sea level, and its mists, poisonous effusions and sulphur-coloured lakes make it a particularly auspicious place for religious tribute. The temples are small shrines built as monuments to the god-ancestors, rather than as a convenience to man.

Wungu View


In southern of Madiun there is a beautiful place. It is located on Wungu Madiun regency East Java Indonesia. This is a beautiful landscape. The area located in near by the ferocity of PKI monument kresek.
Near by the area, there is a recreation place call Grape (Java: Nggrape) because in this area we can see a grape plantation.

Puhsarang Church


This church is located in Puhsarang village, Semen district of Kediri, that’s why it is called Puhsarang Church. The location is 10 km in western Kediri City. This old church had built by Ir. Heendricus Maclaine on behalf of pioneer Mr. Yohanes Humbertus Wolters CM in 1931. The architecture is collaboration between European and Majapahit, combination with other local cultures and Christianity. The first establishment of the complex is the "AntiqueChurch", Puhsarang Church. The structure of the church has unique architectural style form and we can see unique full-scale sculptures of Lord Jesus and the people on the way of cross. If we look at this church so far, it is like a ship from a mountain, which is describing the rescue Noah prophet’s story and his passengers. The buildings in the church area are built from the massive stones, which are taken from materials surrounding the tourism area. The tourism facilities are parking area, hotel, cottages, and home stay, souvenir kiosk, and Kediri special food.

Sukarno Grave



Sukarno is the first President of Indonesia. Sukarno Mausoleum is on the outskirts of Blitar, about 2 km northeast of the town centre on Slamet Riyadi street. Against his wishes, former President Sukarno was burried here in Blitar, next to his mother. No doubt this backwater of java was chosen to ensure that his grave didnot became a focus of pilgrimage and dissent. In 1978 the grave was spruced-up; there is no an impressive open gateway, leading to a glass-enclosed pavilion which contains the engraved boulder marking the site of his burial. The number of stalls that line the road to the grave, and the abundance of becak drivers who wait hopefully around the entrance, demonstrate that Sukarno hasnot been entirely forgotten. Pilgrim prostate themselves and flower are scattered in front of the pavilion.


Seribu Island



Seribu Island is located in regency North Jakarta. According to the note, Seribu Island consist of 342 island, including atoll and sand island. If you have a hobbies like fishing, it is good and impressing to visit seribu island. Beside recreation and maritime, this archipelago is the place for oceanology research, archaeology and scarce sea plant and sea animal study.

Telaga Sarangan



Telaga Sarangan is a beautiful place at the feet of Lawu. Telaga sarangan is located in regency of Magetan, East Java. There are about 1,600 metres above sea level. The climate around is quite cool and comfortable, in day time the temperature is around 20 degrees centrigrade, but at nights the temperature may down until 10 degrees centrigrade.
In the past, Telaga Sarangan was better known as Telaga Pasir (sand lake), because during the dry season the water dried up, showing only a huge stretch of sand. On the other hand, during the rainy season the water would fill up the entire area of the lake.
As one of the tourist destination in East Java, Sarangan has been equipped with various facilities for the comfort of visitor, like hotels; logements, restaurants, fruit and vegetables markets,and souvenir shops. Beside that, there are facilities, like parking space, mosque and guard station.
To circle along and enjoy the 75 hectares lake, tourist can use motorboats, hire water duck and horses that will readily take you to the other tourist destination around Telaga Sarangan. Like the tirtosari and sarangsari waterfalls.
